After 20 years at 62 Windsor Rd. in Westwood, the new Agora Gardens site is fully operational at 309 North St. In Walpole. We are very pleased with the outcome, and even though it is only late June, we have already harvested an abundance of peas, lots of strawberries, radishes, lettuce, and will shortly be swamped with tomatoes (50 plants that are absolutely thriving).
I am a little nervous about critter invasion because the garden is free standing with no fence. This part of Walpole is prime coyote territory, but so far we have seen very few deer. Squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits are not uncommon, but with Billie the Jack Russell on the prowl and Ike the cat doing her nocturnal hunting, we seem to be ok.
With our new company (Agora Greens) up and running, we are extremely busy. Agora Greens is involved with the high production hydroponic growing of leafy green herbs and vegetables. On our home page, please click on the Freight Farm button at the top of the page to learn more. We can grow about 5,000 heads of lettuce every seven weeks in our farm container...AMAZING!
